"Expanding Cities in the Land of the Steppes" (2020) is an urban and contemporary photographic journey through Mongolia, inviting the viewer to discover the urban landscape of this evolving country through encounters with the current generation of young adults.

This is a snapshot of Ulaanbaatar, which is home to just under half of the country’s population, to medium-sized and smaller towns, attempting to move forward in their developments. Faced with challenges including centralization towards the capital, and in diverse environments such as the desert, the mountains or the great steppes, these Mongols tell us about the construction of their country since the arrival of democracy thirty years ago.
